Commission
Council
- Consists of
the heads of each commission to meet quarterly with the Pastor
to make sure that each commission is operating efficiently.
- This body
will look at scheduling, fiscal matters relating to the
commissions and are responsible for implementing the goals
outlined by the Visioning Council.
- Any other
matters directed by the Pastor.
Visioning Council
The
purpose of the Visioning Council is to be the visioning body of
the parish. They set the general direction for the parish. An
example of a question to be examined:
How to make Our Lady of Lourdes one community while
respecting our cultural differences.
- The head of
each commission plus one additional member elected by the
commission members.
- Four elected
members, one from each Mass.
Qualifications for Membership on the Pastoral Council
- Baptized and
confirmed Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Registered
and supporting member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic
Community.
- Participant
in parish life.
- In
possession of an understanding of and commitment to the Church
in accord with the principles of Vatican II.
- Committed to
prayer, study, listening and dialogue.
- Willing to
study guidelines from the Diocese of Orlando.
- Committed to
giving the time needed for participation.
