Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to get up and talk?
No, you do not have to get up and
talk. You may verbally contribute as much or as little as you feel
called to do during small group table sharing about a given topic or
in large group sharing opportunities.

Do I have to stay overnight?
The weekend retreat is a time
not only for yourself but also to come together with others in an environment
that is "away from the world." This is part of community
building, getting to know others through an opportunity you probably
would not otherwise have. However, if you have health
concerns, etc. other arrangements can be made. Just make sure
you identify any and all of your special needs on the application.

I have
special dietary needs.
Not
a problem!…when completing your application, list your dietary
requirements on the application form, and the CRHP Hospitality
Committee will make sure your needs are accommodated

Do I have to commit to a six-month
team?
This is a weekend retreat. Please look at it as a peaceful time to get
away from the hectic pace of the world and to draw closer to the
Lord. You will be invited to be there for a future
group. You will be given an opportunity to make a prayer
filled decision about the invitation. In short, you do not have to commit to a six month
team and you won't be committing during the weekend. Faith is
a journey we take one step at a time.

If I do not become part of a team, what
happens?
You
will still be part of the community that has experienced the CRHP
retreat. You can still participate even though you are not
part of a team. You can support a weekend by volunteering time
to help with the meals and other behind the scenes duties.
Most of all, you can invite others to experience the weekend for
themselves. Being a fisher of other men and women is a very
important job in this renewal movement.

I don’t know much about
the Bible.
Scripture will be presented throughout the weekend by the
facilitators, but knowledge of the Bible is not a requirement for
the weekend.

I am too busy.
This is the perfect for you! It is a great opportunity to escape
the worries of the world, enjoy great fellowship and food, and to
“recharge” your spirit with a short journey away from the world.
